Network and systems engineering is responsible for the planning, implementation, administration, and maintenance of an enterprise data network.
Among our capabilities of this area are:
- Plan, administer, and maintain the copper and fiber optic data cabling that makes up the enterprise network.
- Manage and maintain numerous network servers, including the campus file system.
- Plan, administer, and maintain all enterprise network data electronics (switches, routers).
- Administer and maintain firewall/network security systems.
- Secure and maintain enterprise network communications closets.
- Assist with the addition or relocation of data outlets.
- Plan network growth into new spaces such as new facilities, new computer labs, and renovated spaces.
- Conduct routine preventative network maintenance and support.
